Urea 500 (UREA 500)
The set of instruments for diagnosis for determination of concentration of urea.
Name of set
Liquick Cor-UREA 500
Number kat. – 2-310
Urea is product of catabolism of amino acids. It is made in liver, and removed with urine. Urea in blood contains in type of residual nitrogen of urea (blood urea nitrogen - BUN). The increased content of urea in serum called uraemia is observed at dehydration, renal failure, high-protein diet, the raised catabolism of proteins caused by fabric damages or intensive bleeding around digestive tract. Decrease in level of urea is characteristic of hydropic states, reduced-protein diets or starvation, and also of serious illness of liver.
PRINCIPLE OF THE METHOD
The method is enzymatic, kinetic with use of urease and glutamatdegidrogenaza (GLDG).
Speed of measurement of optical density on the wavelength of 340 nanometers is directly proportional to concentration of urea.
The set is intended both for manual definition (Sample Start and Reagent Start method), and for use on some types of automatic analyzers. Adaptations are provided for them by customer service on demand.
